We have some fantastic news to share about Enola Holmes 2: it’s coming to Netflix very soon!
We first started learning big news about the sequel starring Millie Bobby Brown at last year’s TUDUM, the Netflix fan event in September 2021. Ahead of this year’s annual event, we finally got the release date for Enola Holmes 2! And now, thanks to TUDUM, we have the trailer!

Enola Holmes 2 release date
On Aug. 18, 2022, Netflix shared first-look images of the upcoming movie and the release date! Get ready, because Enola Holmes season 2 will come to Netflix on Nov. 4, 2022. That’s a Friday, so it’s a perfect release for a family movie night.
Netflix confirmed in Jan. 2022 that Enola Holmes 2 had finished filming.
Though we knew Enola Holmes 2 would come out in 2022, we were kind of assuming it might be a holiday release for the wintertime. We know it’s probably not going to be a holiday movie, but Netflix always releases big movies and shows around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. That’s when most people have time off. We’ve seen huge numbers for The Witcher, Bridgerton, Don’t Look Up, and other Netflix holiday releases because of this strategy.
We’ll consider Enola Holmes 2 an early Thanksgiving gift!

Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Louis Partridge, and Helena Bonham Carter have been confirmed for Enola Holmes 2! New cast members have also been announced, including David Thewlis, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Abbie Hern, Hannah Dodd, and Serrana Su-Ling Bliss.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film from Netflix:
Now a detective-for-hire like her infamous brother, Enola Holmes takes on her first official case to find a missing girl, as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of friends — and Sherlock himself — to unravel.
We’re expecting the second movie might be based on the second book of Nancy Springer’s book series, The Case of the Left-Handed Lady. In the book, Enola is on another missing person case. This time, Lady Cecily Alistair has disappeared and Enola does what’s necessary to find the Lady.
We could also see Netflix smash a couple of mysteries together for the new movie since the books are super short.
