Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke star in Netflix’s latest teen movie Do Revenge, which is scheduled to be released on the streamer on Sept. 16. It’s the perfect film to watch over the weekend with a group of friends.
The black comedy film follows two teenage girls from different social groups who join forces to take down each other’s tormentors. It was directed by Sweet/Vicious creator Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and co-written by Robinson and Celeste Ballard. In addition, it was produced by Likely Story. Likely Story is best known for producing the Netflix films Someone Great, The Half of It and Things Heard & Seen.
Other than Mendes and Hawke, the cast includes Austin Abrams, Alisha Boe, Talia Ryder, Paris Berelc, Jonathan Daviss, Maia Reficco, Ava Capri, Rish Shah, Sophie Turner, and Eliza Bennett.

Surprisingly, the teen movie is not based on a book. Instead, it’s original material co-written by Robinson and Ballard. However, the film’s plot is inspired by the 1951 psychological thriller film noir Strangers on a Train by Alfred Hitchcock. But instead of two grown men teaming up for a murder scheme, Do Revenge is about two teen girls teaming up to exact revenge on their bullies.
