Matilda Storyline by Netflix.
Matilda Wormwood (Alisha Weir) is a tiny girl with lots of curiosity, sharp eyes, an enthralling imagination, and one of the worst parents you could ever meet. As their parents (Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough) content themselves with their raunchy TV and unorthodox ways to earn money, she is adamant about getting lost in books. Her favorite books. When they’re rude, selfish, and cruel, she is a calm observer who can think of small, naughty ways to retaliate and be a hero.
After meeting her inspiring educator, Miss Honey (Lashana Lynch), Matilda is encouraged and starts to conjure up her own stories of fantasy. In awe of attending Crunchem Hall, Matilda is shocked to discover that the school is shady and oppressive, ruled by the powerful and evil Miss Trunchbull (Emma Thompson).
Alongside sweet Miss Honey and her bright light in the dark is the story-loving librarian Mrs. Phelps (Sindhu Vee) and Matilda’s new friends from school. With a sincere feeling of justice, Matilda dares to take an oath for what’s right and teach Trunchbull an essential lesson she will never forget.
