Slumberland was directed by Francis Lawrence. It is based on a screenplay by David Guion, Michael Handelman, and Michael Handelman. Based on the comic series Little Nemo from Slumberlandby Winsor Mccay, it is also based. The film was produced by Chernin Entertainment.
Lawrence might be familiar to you from his director work on I Am Legend or some of The Hunger Games films. Guion and Handelman worked previously together on Night At the Museum: The Secret Tomb. Momoa and Lawrence have collaborated for the second time. The first collaboration was on the Apple+ original series.

The release date for Slumberland
On August 24, 2022, Netflix announced that Slumberland, starring Jason Momoa, would be released Friday. Friday. This film will be released just one week before Thanksgiving and will undoubtedly be a hit with families celebrating the holiday.
The film’s principal photography was completed in May 2021. It was in post-production for approximately 11 months, by April 20, 2022. It’s not surprising that this fantasy film took so long to complete post-production. It has many CGI and special effects that must be edited before viewing it.
Although we had hoped for the film’s summer release, the film’s decision to hold until the holiday season is an excellent move for the family flick.

Jason Momoa plays Flip, a man-monster-half-man. Marlow Barkley plays Nemo. Nemo is an 11-year-old girl who searches for her father.

Story of Slumberland
Slumberland transports audiences to a magical new location, where Nemo (Marlow Barkley) and Flip (Jason Momoa) embark on an adventure of a lifetime.
Young Nemo’s idyllic life in the Pacific Northwest is disrupted when her father, Peter (Kyle Chandler), is lost at sea. She is then sent to live with Phillip (Chris O’Dowd), a well-meaning but awkward uncle.
Her new school and new routine are challenging days, but at Night, a secret map to the fantastical world of Slumberland connects Nemo to Flip, a rough-around-the-edges but lovable outlaw who quickly becomes her partner and guide.
Flip and Nemo soon embark on a fantastic journey, traversing dreams and fleeing from nightmares. Nemo hopes that they will be reunited one day.

This sneak peek clip features Marlow Barkley’s Nemo, and Momoa’s Flip, as they prepare to move from the Waking World into the Dream World. Flip provides a brief introduction to Nemo as well as the audience. He explains the rules of travel between realms. We also witness how the world changes around them. The realm (and Flip) go from dull to fabulous with glitter and gold. Be focused, however. These rules should be observed.
