This fictionalized story, based on Joyce Carol Oates’ 2000 bestseller of the same title, tells the story of Marilyn Monroe’s life. Andrew Dominik directed the film. He is best known for his films The Assassination of Jesse James by Coward Robert Ford and Killing them Softly. He also directed episodes of the Netflix original series Mindhunter.
Blonde made its world premiere at Venice’s 79th International Film Festival on September 8. It was followed by a limited theatrical release beginning in the U.S. on September 16. Netflix subscribers will now be able to view the film on September 28. What time will the drama film drop on Netflix?
