What more can you ask for? But for the people who have already finished the film, they’re left wondering if there will be a Love in the Villa 2. Love in the Villa is a new romantic comedy written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson. The story follows a young woman named Julie who takes a dream trip to Verona, Italy, after a breakup. But once Julie arrives at her romantic rental villa, she discovers it has been double booked. Now, she’s forced to share her vacation with an annoying yet good-looking British man.
Kat Graham portrays the role of Julie and Tom Hopper plays the British stranger, Charlie. The rest of the cast includes Raymond Ablack, Laura Hopper, Emilio Solfrizzi, Lorenzo Lazzarini, Stefano Skalkotos, and Sean Amsing.

Will there be a Love in the Villa 2?
At the time of writing (Sept. 1), a Love in the Villa 2 has not been announced by Netflix. However, it’s still too early for the streamer to make a decision. When choosing what Netflix movie or show to renew, the streamer takes into consideration viewership numbers and production costs.
Since the movie just premiered, the viewership numbers haven’t been tallied yet. If Netflix chooses to order a sequel, it’ll likely be a month or so before they announce it. The streamer will look at how many households watched the film within the first four weeks of its release. If a lot of people tune in and watch the movie, it will give Netflix more of a reason to order a sequel. However, production costs also play a part in Netflix’s decision. It also depends on if there’s more story to be told.
The production costs for Love in the Villa are unknown, but it was filmed on location in Verona, Italy, so that could’ve been costly. Also, we don’t know how much the cast was paid. Kat Graham and Tom Hopper have been acting for a while now, so their salaries could be high. However, since no special effects were used in the film, we don’t have to worry about those costs.
But if you watched Love in the Villa in its entirety, you’d know that the story wraps up nicely with no loose ends. So a sequel wouldn’t really be necessary. Honestly, most Netflix rom-coms are given one movie. So, the chances of there being a sequel are very low.
